The end has come for the long-running LOREN AND WALLY morning show on BEASLEY Classic Hits WROR/BOSTON with the official word that former iHEARTMEDIA AC WLTW (106.7 LITE FM)/NEW YORK morning host BOB BRONSON is taking over WROR's morning show with cohosts LAUREN BECKHAM-FALCONE (LBF) and BRIAN BELL, effective MONDAY (7/1).
“I want to thank the BEASLEY management team, including MARY MENNA, CADILLAC JACK and BUZZ KNIGHT for giving me the chance to wake up the greatest city in the world,” said BRONSON. “I can't wait to join the amazing team at WROR!”
“I’ve known BOB for over a decade and am excited for the ROR audience to get to know him as well,” said BEASLEY BOSTON Director of Programming CADILLAC JACK. “He’s a battle-tested, hard-working winner who is a relatable storyteller and all-around wonderful person to be leading our talented morning team!”
“BOB is a world-class talent,” said VP/Market Manager MARY MENNA. “We are so fortunate to be able to bring him home to Boston, and to the WROR listeners.”
LOREN OWENS, who continued the LOREN AND WALLY show solo after WALLY BRINE's retirement, did a final show TODAY (6/28) with BRINE returning for a last appearance. OWENS said that his departure was not his choice but that he and BEASLEY could not agree on a new contract.
