CORBAN UNIVERSITY is the latest college to bail on FM radio, selling Contemporary Christian KWBX/SALEM, OR to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $90,000. KWBX is already an affiliate of EMF's AIR1 network.
In other filings with the FCC, applying for STAs were CUMULUS LICENSING LLC (WABD/MOBILE, AL, alternative site with lower power while TV repack work is done on its licensed tower; KBIU/LAKE CHARLES, LA, reduced power due to transmitter problems) and MATADORS, LLC (WQMS-A/QUITMAN, MS, temporary site to get station back on the air before one year of silence elapses).
CALVARY ASSEMBLY OF GOD has filed for a Silent STA for WVPP-LP/BECKLEY, WV due to a failing transmitter.
WQTM, INC. has closed on the sale of Sports WQTM-A and W279DQ/FAIR BLUFF, NC to KEITH BALDWIN for $10.
And AMAZING LOVE, INC. has closed on the assignment of low power FM KLLF-LP/ROSEBURG, OR to AIRWAVES OF TRUTH as a charitable contribution.
