Veteran radio personality and news and traffic anchor BRIAN FREEMAN is retiring a little earlier than expected, telling his FACEBOOK friends that radical shoulder surgery that will keep him out of action until late OCTOBER, just before his planned DECEMBER retirement, has led him to decide to retire now, bringing his 50-year career to an end.
Among FREEMAN's many accomplishments have been founding the TRAFFAX traffic network and ELEMENT ONE NETWORKS, serving as Executive Producer and co-host of the "WHAT'S COOKING IN THE MR. FOOD TEST KITCHEN" syndicated feature, and stops at SUN BROADCASTING News-Talk WFSX-F (92.5 FOX NEWS)/FORT MYERS, CURTIS MEDIA News-Talk WPTF-A/RALEIGH and WSJS-A/WINSTON-SALEM, CLEAR CHANNEL/iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk WIOD-A/MIAMI and WHP-A/HARRISBURG, METRO NETWORKS, and several more on TV and radio.
