UNIVERSITY of NORTHWESTERN/NORTHWESTERN MEDIA has entered into an asset purchase agreement to purchase NEW LIFE MEDIA from the ILLINOIS DISTRICT COUNCIL OF ASSEMBLIES OF GOD. The organization's thirteen full-power stations and seven translators --including WBGL/CHAMPAIGN, IL and WCIC/PEORIA -- are included in this sale.
“NEW LIFE MEDIA has been serving their listeners well for 46 years and we are extremely grateful for this opportunity,” says NORTHWESTERN SR.VP/Media JASON SHARP. "We look forward to working together and continuing their effort in reaching people for Christ throughout the Midwest.”
“NORTHWESTERN MEDIA has a tremendous reputation in the industry, and we are thrilled that the longstanding ministry in these markets will continue forward under their leadership,” adds IDCAG Superintendent PHIL SCHNEIDER.
With this acquisition, NORTHWESTERN MEDIA grows to 81 broadcast licenses in 13 markets and 10 states.
GREG GUY of PATRICK COMMUNICATIONS was the exclusive broker in this transaction representing the seller.
