Condolences to TA ENTERTAINMENT's TERRY ANZALDO and GOOD GUY ENTERTAINMENT's ANTHONY ANZALDO on the passing of their father, SEBASTIAN "SUBBY" ANZALDO. He was 86. ENTERCOM Alternative KROQ/LOS ANGELES MD MILES ANZALDO is the grandson of MR. ANZALDO.

MR. ANZALDO was a pillar in the city of OMAHA, where he was a theatrical booking agent, ran a construction and real estate company and served on the OMAHA CITY COUNCIL. MR. ANZALDO also became Acting Mayor of OMAHA in 1994 and later presented a key to the city to artist ALANIS MORISSETTE.

In his career as a promoter, MR. ANZALDO brought BUDDY RICH, MAYNARD FERGUSON, COUNT BASIE, THE DUKE ELLINGTON ORCHESTRA, DIZZY GILLESPIE and many more to OMAHA. He also booked the local orchestras to accompany big name live performances by FRANK SINATRA, ELVIS PRESLEY, DIANA ROSS, TOM JONES, ENGELBERT HUMPERDINCK, BARRY MANILOW and more

In MAY 2019, the COLUMBUS PARK COMMUNITY CENTER was renamed the SUBBY ANZALDO COLUMBUS PARK COMMUNITY CENTER.

Funeral services will be held in OMAHA, next SATURDAY, AUGUST 17th.
