Veteran radio programmer STEVE DAVIS is leaving the VP/Programming and PD roles at ENTERCOM Classic Hits WIAD (94.7 THE DRIVE) and Top 40/Rhythmic WPGC/WASHINGTON, D.C. after nine years with the cluster, adding the WPGC duties six years ago. DAVIS' last day is OCTOBER 4th.
DAVIS will relocate back to RICHMOND, VA to be with his family. He told ALL ACCESS, "I own a comic book store in RICHMOND (ALPHA COMICS & GAMES) which will take up a lot of my time as well as doing some volunteer work reading for the blind.
"It's been a great nine year run here. I've enjoyed a lot of success and have worked with some of the best in the business and will miss everyone here. Big thanks to ENTERCOM SVP/Radio & Radio.com JEFF SOTTOLANO, Hot AC Format Capt STEVE SALHANY, SVP/Programming JIM RYAN, VP/Urban Programming REGGIE ROUSE and Chief Programming Officer PAT PAXTON for their friendship and guidance."
