When original WOODSTOCK Music & Arts Festival promoter/co-creator MICHAEL LANG pulled the plug on his WOODSTOCK 50 Concert, that ended plans to distribute the WAVY GRAVY WOODSTOCK FLASHBACKS to promote the show.
With the 50th anniversary of WOODSTOCK (AUGUST 15th-18th, 1969) happening this weekend, producer and veteran SAN FRANCISCO Rock radio personality PAUL "LOBSTER" WELLS, host of "LOBSTER'S SUNDAY BRUNCH" radio show on SONOMA MEDIA GROUP Classic Rock KVRV (97.7 THE RIVER)/SANTA ROSA, CA, is now offering WAVY GRAVY’s WOODSTOCK FLASHBACKS for free to all radio stations who can use the content to pay tribute to this iconic historical event.
Interested stations will be given access to a shared folder at dropbox.com featuring 21 short form audio features, a cue sheet, :30 promo, an intro to place in front of the feature (as donut for a quick break) followed by one of the Flashbacks. Also provided is a :30 PSA for seva.org. SEVA (Sanskrit for service) is a non-profit organization co-founded by WAVY GRAVY where doctors go around the world to restore sight. The PSA is provided as a “pay it forward” for the doctors who have performed millions of operations around the world for free.
These features, updated for 2019, are all close to 90 seconds long. WELLS' FLOW COMMUNICATIONS SAN FRANCISCO production company produced the pieces that were originally syndicated by CBS RADIO NETWORKS on WOODSTOCK's 25th Anniversary. The Flashbacks include soundbites from many of WOODSTOCK's artists and others who were there, including WELLS who was a teenage college radio kid with a tape-recorder.
For dropbox access and more information, contact WELLS at (415) 550-8100 or paul@flowstream.com.
