WBYT/South Bend Morning Co-Host Jim Mackey Exits

Less than a month after being nominated for a CMA Award in the Small Market Broadcast Personality category, FEDERATED MEDIA Country WBYT (B100)/SOUTH BEND, IN’s JIM MACKEY is gone from the station’s “MACKEY AND MILES IN THE MORNING” show, which he co-hosted with DEB MILES. She remains with the station.

MACKEY’s FACEBOOK page lists him as the staton’s “former” morning host. No word from the station, but his departure reportedly involved a disagreement over MACKEY missing the station’s SEPTEMBER 22nd birthday party event to attend his daughter’s wedding. The station initially addressed the matter in a since-deleted FACEBOOK post.
