WFMS/Indianapolis Afternoon Host Jack Shell Departs

CUMULUS Country WFMS/INDIANAPOLIS afternoon host JACK SHELL has departed the station after nearly two years. He joined WFMS from ENTERCOM AC WLYF (101.5 LITE FM)/MIAMI in DECEMBER 2017 (NET NEWS 12/22/17). Prior to MIAMI, he worked at ENTERCOM Country WYCD/DETROIT and CUMULUS Country WKDF/NASHVILLE.

SHELL posted on FACEBOOK, “Would like to thank those who listened to my show on 95.5 WFMS in INDIANAPOLIS, and I am proud to have accomplished quite a bit during my brief time here in terms of ratings and connecting with this audience. Thanks to CUMULUS for getting me back into Country music radio and giving me a great station on which to perform these last two years.

"However, I need more to do than just a three-hour afternoon show," he continued. "I’m a proven fun, creative, interactive radio air talent who wants to win, do the best I can do, work hard, be part of a team, an ensemble cast (if you will), and have more involvement in my community in terms of charity work, because THAT is where it matters most for me these days.”

He added, “During my time at WFMS, I was able to add #1 persons 25-54 (Spring 2019) to the list of stations where I also achieved that goal numerous times before, at WKDF in NASHVILLE and WYCD in DETROIT. Today, I separated from WFMS, and I am now excited about my future and ready to join a great radio team where our collective talents bring out the best in our station and our community.”
