AMERICAN GENERAL MEDIA News-Talk KERN-A-K241CI/BAKERSFIELD host RALPH BAILEY raised $29,200 for HONOR FLIGHT KERN COUNTY on a SEPTEMBER broadcast, and the station presented the funds in a check to HFKC Exec. “This money is going to change the lives of 14 local heroes,” said MARSH. “These men are going to wake up and come home from this trip changed men. That’s the power of HONOR FLIGHT and we’re so proud and happy to work so closely with RALPH BAILEY and the folks at KERN RADIO.”
“I had the honor of flying back with part of our greatest generation and it changed my world and attitude.” said BAILEY. “It’s an amazing trip that transforms these men in the latter parts of their lives.”
AGM Regional Dir./Operations & Programming ROBERT LEWIS added, “Serving our community by engaging our listeners to support such a worthwhile cause is an essential part of all of our radio brands, but especially KERN RADIO as it has been an outlet for news and local concerns of KERN COUNTY since 1932.”
