The COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) recently honored seven industry figures for their contributions to Country music and the community. Backstage during “The 53rd Annual CMA Awards” broadcast last week (11/13), HITS MAGAZINE NASHVILLE Editor HOLLY GLEASON received the CMA Media Achievement award, presented by RCA NASHVILLE's MIRANDA LAMBERT, and BELL MEDIA's ROB FARINA was presented with the CMA WESLEY ROSE International Media Achievement Award by CAA's JOHN HUIE.
The CMA recognized five more industry veterans at the CMA Board reception last night (11/19), held at the HUTTON HOTEL’s ANALOG room in NASHVILLE. Those who were recognized were: COUNTRY AIRCHECK CEO and WESTWOOD ONE's syndicated "Country Countdown USA" host LON HELTON, receiving the J. WILLIAM DENNY Award; DALE MORRIS & ASSOCIATES Owner DALE MORRIS, receiving the IRVING WAUGH Award Of Excellence; ALABAMA group member RANDY OWEN was honored with the CMA Foundation Humanitarian Award; and two artist managers, THE HQ owner ANN EDELBLUTE and THE AMG co-founder BILL SIMMONS, shared the CMA Chairman's Award.
