RADIO CANTICO NUEVO, INC., programmer of Spanish Christian radio stations in the NEW YORK area, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in UNITED STATES Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of NEW YORK.
The company estimates assets of $22,511.12 and $673,904.70 in liabilities, with the largest liability being $550,000 in air time charges owed (but disputed) to WIN RADIO BROADCASTING, licensee of WNYH-A/HUNTINGTON, NY, which previously sued RADIO CANTICO NUEVO in NEW YORK Supreme Court, plus $22,000 in air time charges to MULTICULTURAL RADIO BROADCASTING and $10,513.78 in air time charges to SPARK BROADCAST SERVICES.
The company also owes $13,000 in taxes to the IRS and a disputed $51,991.30 to the state of NEW JERSEY. The petition lists gross revenue of $267,671 in 2017.
