Stingray Radio Crowns ‘Canada’s Biggest Country Fan’

CANADIAN broadcast company STINGRAY RADIO recently completed a seven-week national promotion to find “CANADA’s biggest Country fan” and reward that person with a $20,000 cash prize. The contest aired on the company’s six “NEW COUNTRY”-branded stations: CKCH/SYDNEY-CAPE BRETON, NS; CJXL/MONCTON, NB; CFRK/FREDERICTON, NB; CFCW/CAMROSE, AB; CIGV/KELOWNA, BC; and CJKC/KAMLOOPS, BC.

Listeners in each market were challenged to identify as many Country songs as they could by artist and title in 60 seconds. Each market’s leader was invited to participate in the national finals, which aired hourly across the NEW COUNTRY network on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22nd. The winner correctly identified 20 songs in one minute.
