JDL BROADCASTING, INC. is selling Classic Hits WMMC/MARSHALL, IL to JKO MEDIA GROUP, LLC for $700,000 ($100,000 cash at closing, $600,000 in 120 monthly payments of $5,000).
In other filings with the FCC, applying for STAs were MICHIGAN COMMUNITY RADIO (W248CC/ECORSE, MI, relocated due to TV repack work) and JERI LYN BROADCASTING, INC. (KHTS-A/CANYON COUNTRY, CA, reduced power from single tower due to damage from Tick Fire).
CUMULUS spinoff trust THE MAINSTAY STATION TRUST LLC has closed on the sale of Country WNUQ (102.1 NASH ICON)/SYLVESTER-ALBANY, GA to JOE HARRIS (TREY) MORGAN, III's PRETORIA FIELDS COLLECTIVE MEDIA, LLC for $90,000. The station is changing calls to WPFQ and slogan to "Q102, THE QUEEN BEE" on JANUARY 2nd, with a format yet to be disclosed.
EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS CORP. and STANDARD GENERAL have closed on the transfer of the licenses of EMMIS' Urban AC WBLS and Top 40/Rhythmic WQHT (HOT 97)/NEW YORK to their MEDIACO HOLDING in a transaction priced at $91.5 million cash, $5 million note receivable, and 23.72% of the new company's common equity, to be distributed to EMMIS shareholders as a taxable dividend. EMMIS continues to manage the stations; EMMIS Chairman/CEO JEFF SMULYAN is serving as CEO of MEDIACO.
IMMANUEL BROADCASTING NETWORK, INC. has closed on the sale of W222AF/MARIETTA, GA and W223BP/LITHIA SPRINGS, GA to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $410,000. The primary station is Contemporary Christian WAKL (K-LOVE)/GAINESVILLE-ATLANTA.
And 21ST CENTURY BROADCASTING, INC. is transferring Silent WEZO-A/AUGUSTA, GA to MSBUTTONI, LLC for release from liability for a $350,000 promissory note.
