A MEDIASPAN NETWORK survey of 35,000 site visitors shows half of all site visitors across all formats and demos go online at least monthly to stream their favorite station and 11% download podcasts. The study showed Talk listeners are the most active downloaders of podcasts, with about 24% of sports talk listeners and 22% of news-talk listeners downloading at least once a week. Younger-skewing stations also show high downloading figures (535 of Top 40 listeners say they download "occasionally").
