GARTH BROOKS and TRISHA YEARWOOD are joining numerous other artists, athletes, actors and others to “STAND UP FOR UKRAINE,” in a digital campaign to generate awareness and raise money for the people of UKRAINE through nonprofit GLOBAL CITIZEN. The digital rally will take place TOMORROW (4/8).

The two join other big names and brands, including BILLIE EILISH, BILLY JOEL, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, CAROLE KING, CELINE DION, DAVE MATTHEWS, ELTON JOHN, JON BON JOVI, MADONNA, METALLICA, PEARL JAM, STEVIE NICKS, STEVIE WONDER, THE WEEKEND, U2, the NBA and WWE.

“STAND UP FOR UKRAINE” is a worldwide pledging summit with the goal of raising billions of dollars to directly assist the citizens of UKRAINE during its war crisis. “I can’t do … anything public without saying, ‘Stand for UKRAINE.’ We love you. The world is with you. Stay strong,” said YEARWOOD, as she and BROOKS discussed the topic while live on FACEBOOK.

“These people have nothing. Anything they had has been taken away,” said BROOKS on the livestream. “So, it doesn’t matter, a dollar … ten cents … two dollars … five dollars … two hundred bucks. Just contribute, right? That’s what we’re all gonna do. So hopefully soon then these people can try to somehow get back to some kind of normal life, which I ... can’t imagine them ever doing. It’s ‘Stand Up for UKRAINE.’ Prayers always work. Just pray that it stops here – for the people of UKRAINE, for the people of RUSSIA … for all of us If you talk about the most powerful weapon we have on this planet … it’s love.
