CUMULUS MEDIA has promoted CHRIS HOFFMAN to VP/Adult Contemporary. HOFFMAN will continue in his role as OM for the company’s SALT LAKE CITY cluster, which includes AC KBEE (B98.7), Country KUBL (K-BULL 93) and Talk KKAT-A.
In his new role, HOFFMAN will oversee the company’s 27 AC stations.
CUMULUS MEDIA Sr. VP/Programming Operations JOHN DIMICK said, “Having the depth to recruit from within and promote someone with CHRIS’ abilities is another example of our commitment to having the best and brightest in CUMULUS MEDIA. This is well deserved recognition, and we are delighted to have CHRIS as part of the Audience and Content leadership team.”
HOFFMAN remarked: “I couldn’t be more thrilled to lead our AC team at CUMULUS and work with our PDs to grow our legendary group of stations. A huge thank you to EVP BRIAN PHILIPS and our VPs/Programming, JOHN DIMICK, DOUG HAMAND and GREG FREY, for this amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to get started.”
HOFFMAN is a 35-year radio veteran who has programmed in the AC, Classic Rock, Classic Hits and News/Talk formats. He started his career while still in high school, at the UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO’s radio station. Along the way, he made stops at KXKL (KOOL 105)/DENVER, and KCMO/KANSAS CITY, which expanded into roles for CUMULUS at KCMO-A and KCFX. He then spent two years in SAN FRANCISCO programming KUZX/KUFX, before moving to SALT LAKE CITY.
