Kudos to KANE BROWN and his promotion team at RCA NASHVILLE and SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE for scoring the most-added record at Country radio this week with his new single, “Like I Love Country Music.” The song comes in hot with 121 first-week MEDIABASE stations on board, a career high for the young artist, and debuts at #38 on the chart.
Written by BROWN, MATTHEW McGINN, TAYLOR PHILLIPS and JORDAN SCHMIDT, and produced by DANN HUFF, the song incorporates lyrical references to Country music icons ALAN JACKSON, WILLIE NELSON, GEORGE JONES, JOHNNY CASH, JUNE CARTER CASH and BROOKS & DUNN, and includes a line sure to appeal to most Country radio programmers, “You turn me on as much as I turn on my radio.”
BROWN recently celebrated his seventh career #1 single, “One Mississippi,” with a party on the rooftop at BMI’s NASHVILLE headquarters.
