SONY MUSIC PUBLISHING has signed hit Country and Pop songwriter ASHLEY GORLEY in partnership with DOMAIN CAPITAL GROUP. The deal encompasses GORLEY’s full catalog of songs, as well as future compositions.
GORLEY, an eight-time winner of ASCAP’s Songwriter of the Year award, has scored 59 #1 singles in his career, and more than 400 cuts from such artists as LUKE BRYAN, CARRIE UNDERWOOD, BLAKE SHELTON, DAN + SHAY, KELSEA BALLERINI, COLE SWINDELL, BON JOVI, WEEZER and many more. His recent hits include CHRIS STAPLETON’s “You Should Probably Leave,” MORGAN WALLEN’s “Sand In My Boots” and THOMAS RHETT’s “What’s Your Country Song.” GORLEY is also a five-time NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL Songwriter of the Yer, and has multiple GRAMMY, CMA and ACM Award nominations.
Said GORLEY, “Both DOMAIN and SONY MUSIC PUBLISHING have a deep respect and understanding of the value of songs. I am grateful to PETE [CHIAPPETTA] and the rest of the DOMAIN crew for their belief in me. I am especially excited to join forces with longtime friends JON PLATT, RUSTY GASTON, CAM CALDWELL and the rest of the SONY staff. I can't wait to get started on this next chapter!”
Added GASTON, CEO of SONY MUSIC PUBLISHING NASHVILLE, “I've been a fan of ASHELY GORLEY’s songwriting since the late ‘90s when we both attended BELMONT UNIVERSITY together. He's a true music connoisseur in every sense of the word. His diverse influences, combined with his genuine heart, have led his songs to define the soundtrack of Country music."
GORLEY continues to operate his own successful publishing company, NASHVILLE-based TAPE ROOM MUSIC, whose writers have celebrated 35 #1 hits.
