Dolly Parton, Doja Cat And Taco Bell's Mexican Pizza: What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

This may read like a story out of THE ONION, or something you might see on APRIL FOOLS DAY, but Country music icon and soon the ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME member DOLLY PARTON is set to star in a musical about TACO BELL's Mexican pizza. That's right, the musical production, being created for TIKTOK, will star PARTON and reportedly ... wait for it .... DOJA CAT. Either that, or we're all being elaborately pranked, and DOLLY's in on it.

Now, see if you can follow along here, because this gets twisty. The fast-food chain is set to return the popular pizza item to its menu beginning MAY 19th after a year-and-a-half-long absence. This much we know to be true. That menu move may or may not have been sparked by a MARCH TIKTOK from DOJA CAT, in which she sang a little ditty in tribute to the food item (sample lyric: "This ain't even Mexican food / But I don't care when the clock hits 2 a.m."). At COACHELLA in APRIL, DOJA announced the return of her favorite pizza, confirmed the following day by YUM! BRANDS' TACO BELL.

You still with us? OK, DOJA's TIKTOK sparked another from VICTOR KUNDA, in which he hilariously pretended to choreograph "Mexican Pizza: The Musical." Now, that fictional musical is becoming reality, with PARTON, DOJA CAT and, reportedly, KUNDA, set to topline with other special guests. PARTON and TACO BELL both confirmed the news with a pair of posts on MONDAY (5/9).

The musical will premiere on TIKTOK on MAY 26th. Set a calendar reminder. It's almost certainly gonna be bonkers.
