New voice controls and integrations with more automotive entertainment platforms are coming to iHEARTRADIO, according to announcements by iHEARTMEDIA in advance of CES 2023. The streaming audio platform will add NATIVE VOICE's voice assistant capabilities, with users of certain SKULLCANDY headset models using SKULL-IQ able to control the app with the command "Hey iHEART." In addition, the app will be using CERENCE voice recognition and will be available in FISKER and VINFAST electric vehicles and through TOMTOM's Digital Cockpit platform.
“At iHEART we are committed to providing companionship to our listeners through our massive roster of on-air radio personalities, unmatched lineup of podcast talent and the reach of our local broadcast station brands,” said iHEARTMEDIA EVP/Digital Distribution and Platform Partnerships JOHN VERMEER. “Our partnerships with some of the most innovative companies in voice and automotive technology help us continue this mission by ensuring our content is available to consumers where they expect it today and where they will expect it to be in the future.”
