  The BBC WORLD SERVICE has cancelled its radio soap opera "WESTWAY," with FRIDAY's episode being the last. The twice-weekly drama aired for eight years on the English-language service, which is planning to concentrate its weekday schedule on news programs after the new year; drama may be part of the service's weekend schedule.
