Al Morganti Agrees To New Five-Year Deal For Weekend Show, Flyers Podcast With WIP/Philadelphia

Although longtime morning host ANGELO CATALDI is retiring after the EAGLES season from AUDACY Sports WIP/PHILADELPHIA, his longtime on-air partner and fellow former PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER sportswriter AL MORGANTI is continuing with the station, agreeing to a five-year deal that will see him move from mornings to an unspecified weekend show and a FLYERS podcast.

The HOCKEY HALL OF FAME ELMER FERGUSON MEMORIAL AWARD winner joked on the air THURSDAY, "I told you, it's a lifetime deal, I just said I want to be around when the FLYERS win the (STANLEY) CUP. I am excited about this. I get to do a lot of FLYERS stuff on the podcast and I don't have to get up early."

RHEA HUGHES, who has anchored and co-hosted with MORGANTI and CATALDI for many years, will be continuing on the new morning show with JOE DECAMARA and JON RITCHIE and producer JAMES SELTZER when CATALDI exits.
