MADONNA will mark her 40th anniversary as a recording artist with a tour produced by LIVE NATION and her longtime manager GUY OSEARY. The news was first reported in BILLBOARD.
The 64-year-old will spotlight her entire catalog, which begins with her 1983 self-titled debut through 2019's "Madame X," her most recent release. The world tour will be a career retrospective, with a reported multi-night run at the O2 in LONDON.
One executive told the trade publication, "It’s going to be the biggest tour she’s ever done,” with both stadium and arena dates. OSEARY, who stepped down from his role as management at collective MAVERICK in 2020, then left longtime clients U2 last year, will be involved as MADONNA's management team.
Last year, the MATERIAL GIRL released a career-spanning greatest hits, "Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones," with remixes by top producers and 20 previously unreleased recordings. In 2021, MADONNA signed a deal with WARNER MUSIC GROUP for an “extensive, multi-year series of catalog releases that will revisit the groundbreaking music that made her an international icon.”
MADONNA's "Madame X" tour, which ended in early 2020, was her last, a theater run marred by production delays and her own physical issues. The show's often-late start prompted two class-action lawsuits from angered ticket-holders.
MADONNA's "Sticky And Sweet Tour," which ran from 2008-2009, is still the highest-grossing ever by a female artist, with $407 million.
