ALPHA MEDIA Country KZKX (KX96.9)/LINCOLN, NE midday personality MEGAN "MEG" RIEDER has departed after just a little over two years with the station. She joined in late 2020 after a stint in middays at SUMMITMEDIA Rock KEZO (Z-92)/OMAHA. Her background also includes time with WWST (STAR 102.9)/KNOXVILLE and the E.W. SCRIPPS COMPANY in OMAHA.
She shared the news on TWITTER and INSTAGRAM, writing, "Sadly, my time at ALPHA MEDIA-LINCOLN has come to an end, a decision that, once again, was not up to me. Radio is a very tough, sometimes cruel, industry, as many of my friends can confirm. I am very fortunate to have found this job after getting laid off from Z-92 back in JUNE of 2020. I had some good times working for KX96.9, [Classic Rock KTGL] 92.9 THE EAGLE and, more recently, covering HUSKER football for [Sports KLMS] 101.5 ESPN/LINCOLN. Thank you to the listeners and my coworkers. Cheers to the next opportunity."
No word yet on a replacement.
