Justin Bieber Sells Music Catalog To Hipgnosis Songs Capital

JUSTIN BIEBER has sold his music catalog to HIPGNOSIS SONGS CAPITAL. The deal, backed by BLACKSTONE, includes publishing copyrights (including the writer's share of performance), master recordings, and neighboring rights for BIEBER's entire back catalog, which includes over 290 titles released before DECEMBER 31, 2021.

No dollar figure was announced for the deal, but in DECEMBER, the WALL STREET JOURNAL estimated its worth at approximately $200 million. 

According to a UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP spokesperson, BIEBER's recorded music masters will continue to be owned by that company "in perpetuity." 

HIPGNOSIS SONGS CAPITAL is a partnership between HIPGNOSIS SONG MANAGEMENT and BLACKSTONE, a separate entity from HIPGNOSIS SONGS FUND, listed in the U.K.
