The ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME in CLEVELAND and NASHVILLE's RYMAN AUDITORIUM are expanding on their partnership to celebrate the intersection of Rock & Roll and Country music with a live show. "Rock The RYMAN" will honor the legacy and impact ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME members have had by playing the RYMAN during its 130-year history. The show is set for MARCH 1st at 7:30p (CT).
Hosted by guitarist/songwriter and WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE artist CHARLIE WORSHAM, the night of music will explore how Country helped shape Rock, and how Rock has merged with Americana, Country, and beyond. The first performers announced include THE WAR AND TREATY, GAVIN DeGRAW, and MADDIE & TAE, with others to be named later. Each artist will perform two or three songs by ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME inductees that have influenced them.
ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME Pres/CEO GREG HARRIS said, "More than 100 ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME inductees have performed on the RYMAN’s hallowed stage throughout its 130-year history. We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with the RYMAN by bringing together artists and fans for one incredible night to experience the power of Rock & Roll through some of NASHVILLE’s great talent."
Last NOVEMBER, the RYMAN opened an exhibit, "ROCK HALL At The RYMAN," in its 5th Avenue vestibule, celebrating the venue's impact on Rock & Roll history (NET NEWS 10/6/22).
Tickets for the concert go on sale at 10a (CT) on FRIDAY, JANUARY 27th at ryman.com. Proceeds from the event will help preserve and celebrate the history of Rock & Roll at the ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME and RYMAN AUDITORIUM.
