CBS O&O WCBS-TV (CBS 2)/NEW YORK reporter KEVIN RINCON is returning to AUDACY News WINS-A-F/NEW YORK as midday anchor.
RINCON, who started his career as an intern at WINS in 2007 and later worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WINS in 2014-15, announced his move back to WINS on TWITTER, writing that he will be leaving CBS 2 next THURSDAY (2/9) and recounted how he learned to speak English without an accent from his mother having him listen to WINS for hours, adding, "it’s with immense pride, and even a lump in my throat of nervousness that I share I’ll be headed to WINS this month as a midday anchor. I hope to continue building on the rich history at a station that to me has always represented the soul of NYC. Hope you’ll tune in."
RINCON has also anchored and reported at WTIC-A/HARTFORD, WOKV-A/JACKSONVILLE, WNEW/WASHINGTON, and FOX NEWS. He has been at CBS 2 since 2020.
A week from today I’ll be wrapping up my last shift at CBS 2. It’s been a privilege to work alongside so many dedicated journalists.
