This month ALL ACCESS Editor-Urban/R&B Promotion-Columnist SAM WEAVER is featuring our late colleague and friend, “THE DOCTOR,” JERRY BOULDING. His BLACK HISTORY MONTH URBANIZING columns were about connecting the dots and keeping the story of African Americans accurate.

WEAVER said, "I can’t think of a better person to report the journey of African Americans throughout the years in this country. Knowing the past helps go forward with the future. BOULDING's words always stayed focused on the people and issues as the chapters of the Black experience continued to evolve. Historical perspective in the wrong hands can turn fiction into the truth."

BOULDING once told me, "The capacity of the human mind to live in a state of forgetfulness is where a lot of our problems begin."
