Two Daily Network Country Shows Combine To Form New 'Shawn Parr's Backstage Country'

After teasing on social media over the weekend that "big news" was coming TODAY (2/6), national Country radio personality SHAWN PARR's SHAWN PARR PRODUCTIONS, BEASLEY MEDIA GROUP and KEY NETWORKS revealed that they have teamed up to launch a new syndicated Country show, SHAWN PARR'S BACKSTAGE COUNTRY. It will debut on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 27th on more than 70 affiliates nationwide.

The NASHVILLE-based show combines two existing daily shows, Country radio veteran PARR's current KEY NETWORKS four-hour weekday daypart show, SHAWN PARR'S ACROSS THE COUNTRY (launched in 2020) and UNITED STATIONS' BACKSTAGE COUNTRY, a five-hour weekday show that has been hosted by a different Country music artist each week since its debut, also in 2020. A launch party for the show's new iteration is being planned for the first day of COUNTRY RADIO SEMINAR, MONDAY, MARCH 13th in NASHVILLE.

The new, four-hour show will be available for stations to air MONDAY through FRIDAY in any daypart between 6a and midnight, and will have a companion website, BackstageCountry.net (not yet working), where listeners can find news, interviews and music. Initial affiliates will include BEASLEY's WKLB/BOSTON, WXTU/PHILADELPHIA, WQYK/TAMPA, KCYE/LAS VEGAS, WSOC/CHARLOTTE, WKXC/AUGUSTA and WKML/FAYETTEVILLE.

The Country show, available from KEY NETWORKS on a market-exclusive basis, extends the syndication partnership between BEASLEY and KEY NETWORKS, becoming the third joint venture to launch in the past nine months. It joins DAVE AND CHUCK THE FREAK, and the Esports shows QUICK HITS (for Sports stations) and GAME POP (for music stations).

Current BACKSTAGE COUNTRY Talent and Industry Relations Consultant JOHN SHOMBY will continue to serve in the same role for the new show, while Sr. Content/Talent Producer ADRIAN KULP departs (NET NEWS 2/6).
