KUSKOKWIM PUBLIC BROADCASTING CORPORATION Public Radio KSKO/MCGRATH, AK is hosting a live on-air book reading event TUESDAY FEBRUARY 7th at 3:30p (AT) and rebroadcast at 7p. It can also be streamed live here.
The event will feature four students from MCGRATH SCHOOL, who will be joined by Town City Administrator and School Library Aide SARAH MCCLELLAN WELCH, reading ALASKAN themed stories.
PD PAUL B. WALKER JR., shared “As a public radio station, it's part of our mission to inform and entertain. We have a small staff of one and a small community, but that leaves us with the opportunity to do some very unique things. We'll have people in all the communities we serve across 600 miles of ALASKA be able to participate and listen in. Without this, the other communities likely wouldn't have this, as many communities don't have a library staff and often winter temperatures prevent a lot of activities from taking place.”
