Primary Wave Music Strikes 'Multimillion Dollar' Deal With Stevie Van Zandt

Fresh off their annual must-attend GRAMMY eve party, this year at the newly renamed (for the occasion) WH(ITNEY HOUSTON) HOTEL, PRIMARY WAVE MUSIC has struck what it is calling a  "multimillion-dollar deal" with singer, songwriter, producer, E STREET BAND member and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer STEVIE VAN ZANDT to manage the artist’s music publishing and recorded music catalogs, as well as a portion of his name and likeness rights.

Terms of the deal also include a stake in producer royalties from VAN ZANDT’s work with SOUTHSIDE JOHNNY AND THE ASBURY JUKES along with band member and producer royalties from his longtime collaboration with BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN. 

VAN ZANDT's songs have been performed by NANCY SINATRA, MEAT LOAF, RONNIE SPECTOR, DAMIAN MARLEY, BRIAN SETZER, MICHAEL MONROE, GARY U.S. BONDS, JIMMY BARNES and BLACK UHURU, among countless others. 

Some of his biggest hits include SOUTHSIDE JOHNNY's "I Don't Want To Go Home" and "This Time It's For Real" and "I Am A Patriot" (covered by JACKSON BROWNE and PEARL JAM), and the theme song for his NETFLIX series, "Lilyhammer," as well as DARLENE LOVE’s holiday hit, "All Alone On Christmas" (the latter featured in such films as "Home Alone 2: Lost In New York" and "Love Actually").

Terms of the deal also include access to PRIMARY WAVE’s marketing team and publishing infrastructure, which includes digital strategy, licensing, synch opportunities, and film & TV production.

VAN ZANDT is also founder of the long-running "Underground Garage" radio network, now carried by SIRIUSXM, featuring hosts like RODNEY BINGENHEIMER and MICHAEL DES BARRES.
