Veva Collect Launches Songwriting Challenge With Martina McBride & Wendy Moten

Music tech company VEVA COLLECT, in partnership with SHINER BEER, is hosting a songwriting contest that will be judged by MARTINA McBRIDE, producer PAUL WORLEY and the runner-up from Season 21 of NBC's THE VOICE, WENDY MOTEN.

The grand prize winner in the "SHINER SONG CONTEST POWERED BY VEVA COLLECT" will receive a $1,000 cash award, direct feedback from McBRIDE, MOTEN, and WORLEY, a signed item from the two artists, a two-day recording session with BLACKBIRD ACADEMY in NASHVILLE valued at $900, a full-year subscription to INSIDE BLACKBIRD, a full-year subscription to VEVA COLLECT’s Pro Unlimited account, a SHINER branded acoustic guitar, and YETI gear.

Ten runners-up will be selected at random to receive a full-year subscription to VEVA COLLECT's Pro Unlimited account valued at $600, and a full-year subscription to INSIDE BLACKBIRD, along with written feedback from a panel of experts. Additionally, FAIRCHILD is partnering with McBRIDE, MOTEN and BEVERLY KEEL, Dean of MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY's College of Media and Entertainment, for a panel discussion focusing on “Fostering Diversity & Equity in the Music Industry” at the upcoming SXSW CONFERENCE & FESTIVAL in AUSTIN. The panelists will share their stories about ways they have overcome adversity to thrive in their music industry careers.
