Canadian PM Martin Starts Weekly Radio Address

Embattled Canadian Prime Minister PAUL HOWARD is taking his case to the public with a weekly radio address to the nation. The addresses are airing between 10 and 11a local time on 28 commercial private stations nationwide, in a manner similar to the traditional President's Weekly Radio Address airing in the U.S. MARTIN's LIBERAL PARTY will pay for the costs of the broadcasts; unlike the U.S. version, the opposition parties are not being offered a response.
