Texas Talker Wins Noncompete Case

CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KKTX-A/CORPUS CHRISTI and talk host JIM LAGO successfully defend themselves against LAGO's former employer in a noncompete case, as TEXAS District Judge ROSE VELA rules that LAGO's noncompete with MALKAN Talk KEYS-A is not valid. 

The CORPUS CHRISTI CALLER-TIMES reports that LAGO had a noncompete in his old contract from 1996, but the deal expired in 1998 without renewal and he had been working without a contract since that time. Separate claims by MALKAN that LAGO unlawfully took proprietary information like client lists are still pending.
