XM, Nissan In New Deal

XM SATELLITE RADIO will be offered as a factory-installed option in NISSAN and INFINITI vehicles starting in the 2008 model year. The new deal expands on the previous relationship between the parties that put XM into several models as a dealer-installed option and uses XM as data and telematics supplier for NISSAN in-car navigation and messaging.

XM also crunched the numbers after SIRIUS' report TUESDAY and declared that it had won the retail receiver sales leadership in third quarter with 59% of the market, based on adding 305,284 net retail subscribers vs. SIRIUS' 209,920.
