Report: SoundExchange Proposes 37.5% Royalty Payment for Webcasters

Label and recording artist royalty rep SOUNDEXCHANGE has proposed to the U.S. COPYRIGHT OFFICE that webcasters pay a whopping 37.5% of their royalties for 2006-2010, reports R.A.I.N. Before you webcasters out there start panicking, R.A.I.N. postulates that the request to collect such an exorbitant percentage of webcaster revenue is merely an early-level negotiation ploy by SOUNDEXCHANGE.
