KCHZ Jingles To 95.7 The Vibe; KMXV Pulls R&T Off The Air

With the spin of the format wheel at CUMULUS Top 40 KCHZ (Z95)/KANSAS CITY to All Christmas JINGLE 95.7, at 5p (CT), the format wheel stopped today at Top 40/Rhythmic with a new slogan "95.7 THE VIBE, THE BEAT OF KANSAS CITY.  A trip to the old site, www.z957.net, shows the new logo.

A casualty of the format flip is former morning man SCOTT ADAMS.  He is looking for traditional and non-traditional opportunities in Top 40, Classic Hits, Country, Punk Rock Salsa, or ... hey any format. Meanwhile, crosstown INFINITY Top 40 KMXV (MIX 93.3) OM/PD CHRIS TAYLOR was not gonna let KCHZ have all the glory today. This morning MIX 93.3's ROCKET & TERESA were pulled off the air and replaced with announcement from TAYLOR apologizing for what ROCKET said.

Another announcement followed an hour later stating that MIX would not tolerate the 4 letter word heard on MIX this morning and at 5p this afternoon, ROCKET & TERESA would go on the air live to discuss what has been resolved.

Just as KCHZ was flipping, ROCKET & TERESA got on the air to apologize for using the 4 letter word -- FREE! As an apology, MIX 93.3 goes commercial free this weekend, with commercial free hours, and free tickets to HARRY POTTER.
