SIRIUS SATELLEITE RADIO's HOWARD 100 Channel is reporting that HOWARD STERN has been suspended by INFINITY.
The report indicates that STERN was suspended for one day because he was talking too much about his move to SIRIUS and mentioning SIRIUS too much.
STERN spent much of MONDAY's show discussing new additions to his SIRIUS channel's programming lineup, including the previously mentioned nightly "TISSUE TIME WITH HEIDI CORTEZ" and "CRACK HO VIEW," in which "crack hos" discuss the same topics appearing on the same day's episode of TV talk show "THE VIEW."
The SIRIUS report says that WXRK/NEW YORK GM TOM CHIUSANO walked into the STERN studio moments after the show ended and issued the suspension; INFINITY plans to air a "best of" on TUESDAY despite STERN's reported protestations.
A trip to HowardStern.com and a link to "Howard Get Suspended" gives details of a broadcast tonight at 6p ET) on HOWARD 100 with a history of his suspensions, and ... what happens next.
INFINITY VP/Communications KAREN MATEO told ALL ACCESS, "I can confirm that HOWARD will not be on the air tomorrow (11/8). A 'best of' show will air. We expect his live show to return on WEDNESDAY."
