UNITED RADIO BROADCASTERS OF NEW ORLEANS ended its broadcasting run this weekend after providing listeners in LOUISIANA with post-hurricane emergency information and news on a continuous basis.
The partnership between CLEAR CHANNEL and ENTERCOM stations in the market, which arose from the post-KATRINA programming of ENTERCOM's Talk WWL-A, is winding down and the stations will return to regular programming, although the NEW ORLEANS TIMES-PICAYUNE reports that some of ENTERCOM's operations, including WWL's talk shows, are remaining at BATON ROUGE studios for now.
Interestingly, WWL's post-URBNO schedule does not initially include PREMIERE's RUSH LIMBAUGH, who may return initially to a nighttime tape-delayed slot while WWL remains local with BOB DEL GIORNO in mornings, JOHN MCCONNELL 9-11a,. BOB MITCHELL and VINCE MARINELLO 11a-2p, GARLAND ROBINETTE 2-5p, and DEKE BELLAVIA 5-9p.
