The COUNTRY RADIO BROADCASTERS (CRB) will hold a press conference to announce the line-up for the 2006 NEW FACES SHOW on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30th in the ASCAP conference room at 9:30a (CT). UNIVERSAL SOUTH recording artist and NEW FACES' class of 2003 alumni JOE NICHOLS will be on hand to make the announcements. In addition, a few special announcements relating to CRS 37 are expected and it will be the first opportunity to apply for media credentials.
In other news, the CRB is now taking submissions for the CRS-37 Radio Promotion Awards. The Radio Promotion Award is presented to full time Country radio stations in each market for creative and effective promotions performed during the qualification period between NOVEMBER 1, 2004 and DECEMBER 1, 2005.
Stations interested in entering the promotion contest should submit 5 copies of a one-page summary of the station's best Country radio promotion from the past year. The winning stations will receive a free trip to CRS-37, including airfare up to $500, hotel and seminar registration. Winners will also be invited to sit on a panel held on THURSDAY (2/16) at 11:15a.
All entries must be sent no later than FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2005. The submission summary should include the goals set for the promotion, how and why it was successful for the station, clients and listeners and other materials such as videos or photos that will help present the promotion.
CRS-37 is scheduled for FEBRUARY 15-17, 2006 at the NASHVILLE CONVENTION CENTER. For more information log onto www.crb.org.
