MIDWAY BROADCASTING shared-time WRLL-A/CHICAGO will drop its simulcast of sister Talk WVON-A and flip to Spanish as "RADIO LATINO" on SEPTEMBER 3rd, according to the CHICAGO SUN-TIMES' ROBERT FEDER. WVON's GUSTAVO RIOS will serve as Station Manager.
The station, which airs on the 1450 frequency from 10p to 1p daily, was for several years the home of WVON, which moved to WRLL's old extended-band 1690 AM frequency last year in an LMA deal with CLEAR CHANNEL.
