ENGLAND's ISLES OF SCILLY now officially have their own local radio station with the formal launch of RADIO SCILLY on MONDAY (9/3).
The station, founded by KERI JONES, is broadcasting from the COASTGUARD TOWER on ST. MARY'S ISLAND with 100 watts at 107.9 FM, with a Variety format and the claim that the station is the "world's smallest radio station" because of the islands' small population (2,100) and the small coverage area. The islands are also served by BBC radio relays for RADIO 1, 2, 3, and 4 and RADIO CORNWALL.
The station is also streaming at radioscilly.com.
