CITADEL Talk KGO-A/SAN FRANCISCO taps ABC RADIO NEWS anchor and regular KGO fill-in GIL GROSS to take over 2-4p PT weekdays beginning SEPTEMBER 17th. GROSS fills the slot left vacant by the death of longtime host and TV news anchor PETE WILSON. Among the highlights on GROSS' extensive resume are stints hosting a nationally syndicated show for CBS RADIO, fill-in for PAUL HARVEY, and work at WLS-A/CHICAGO, WABC-A, WCBS-A, and WOR-A/NEW YORK and KLAC-A/LOS ANGELES.
"GIL has appeared on KGO so frequently during the past few years, it’s not like a stranger joining us, but a respected friend. He is a rare and gifted talent and I’m delighted that he’s joining our amazing team of broadcasters," says OM JACK SWANSON.
"I am thrilled to be joining KGO Radio," added GROSS. "It is still committed to local programming making it almost unique not just in this market, but in America. It is still committed to news and it still has a stake in its community."
