WESTWOOD ONE and BROADWAY VIDEO ENTERTAINMENT have inked a deal to distribute a new "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" radio feature consisting of daily 90-second vignettes from the previous weekend's show, plus a daily prep service, satellite tours, live multi-station remote broadcasts from SNL events, and newly created microsites for SNL RADIO affiliates.
"For over 30 years, SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE has been the pre-eminent brand in comedy, and for the first time in its legendary history, radio stations will be able to feature this must-have content both on air and online," sais WW1 Chief Digital Media Officer GARY KRANTZ.
"Partnering with WESTWOOD ONE expands the reach of SNL and gives us another way to deliver our content to fans in a timely manner," added BROADWAY VIDEO ENTERPRISES SVP BRITTA VON SCHOELER.
"SNL RADIO is the perfect addition to WESTWOOD ONE's comedy lineup, which features some of the most recognized TV personalities bringing their funny to radio, including NBC’s own JAY LENO and CONAN O'BRIEN," said WW1 News and Talk SVP BART TESSLER. "The only thing missing is more cowbell."
