Derek James Exits WLNK To Become WCCB-TV Weatherman

After five years at JEFFERSON-PILOT Hot AC WLNK (107.9 THE LINK)/CHARLOTTE, NC, APD/MD/afternoon Producer DEREK JAMES will be leaving to pursue a career as a weather forecaster for WCCB-TV (FOX)/CHARLOTTE. DEREK's last day at WLNK is FRIDAY (12/2).

According to WLNK PD NEAL SHARPE, "I've enjoyed watching Derek grow as a broadcaster in his ever changing roles within the radio station over the years. He has excelled with every challenge, and has been a great ambassador of our radio station here in the CHARLOTTE community, and nationally within the radio industry. I'm going to miss him, but I know this next career move should get him closer to his ultimate goal of eventually replacing BOB BARKER as the host of the "PRICE IS RIGHT."
