Meet 'The Ringle'

As the recording industry continues to look for new sales opportunities, step forward RINGLE, a planned combination of singles with ringtones, reports PRODUCT-REVIEWS.COM. A RINGLE will contain three songs; one of which is a hit, next will be a remix of that single and the third could be an older track as well as one ringtone which will come on a CD.

The brains behind this idea are SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT, but the first to start using this RINGLE service is UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP. SONY BMG will release 50 titles in OCTOBER and NOVEMBER and UNIVERSAL will have about 10 to 20 titles ready in those months. The price for the RINGLE is not certain yet.

Stores already interested are TARGET and WAL-MART, online BEST BUY and AMAZON will also support the RINGLE.
