WPOZ Sends One Last Family To Night Of Joy

After giving away over 600 tickets to DISNEY's NIGHT OF JOY, the staff of CENTRAL FLORIDA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION Christian AC WPOZ (Z88.3)/ORLANDO was able to help out one last family as it traveled to the park on the DISNEY MONORAIL, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th.

The family’s three-year-old boy BRANDON recognized PD/morning host SCOTT SMITH and sang the WPOZ jingle. SMITH asked if the family was on its way to NIGHT OF JOY, but they were not as the event was sold-out. Promotions Director CAROL BAKER overheard the conversation and was able to give them the last family four pack of ticket the station had.

The family had been on its way to a DISNEY resort for dinner to celebrate the mother’s birthday. The WPOZ staff later decided to make her birthday extra special, showing up to the restaurant with MICKEY MOUSE to sing “Happy Birthday” to her.
