Lots of changes at JARAD BROADCASTING/HAMPTONS-RIVERHEAD reports DAVID HINKLEY in THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS. VIC LATINO whose dance show ran for five years on CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40/Rhythmic WKTU/NEW YORK and who's still heard daily on XM Satellite Radio, noon-6p came back to the local air this week as morning co-host at JARAD's WDRE (PARTY-105).
He's also OM for WDRE, WLIR and WBON, programming all three stations.
On THURSDAY, WBON will become "LA FIESTA," a tropical music mix. "Very uptempo," he says. WLIR will keep its format for now, he says, while PARTY-105 "will return to what it was 10 years ago - a station that doesn't slow down."
Prominent on the playlist, he says, will be "rhythm smashes" from 1993-2003, "the top five to 10 dance records" and dance versions of top-40 hits.
