Harrell And Davis Exit Category 5 As Label Restructures

As ALL ACCESS reported yesterday (10/1), CATEGORY 5 RECORDS/NASHVILLE Nat'l Promo Dir. NATHAN CRUISE has joined EQUITY MUSIC GROUP as Midwest Promotion Manager. Today ALL ACCESS has learned that two more CATEGORY 5 staffers have exited. West Coast regional and promo veteran SAM HARRELL, along with Promotions Coordinator NOEL DAVIS have both departed from the label.

VP/Promotion DAVID SHAW said that the label did restructoring of the promotions approach: "This past week we did some restructuring. We layed off SAM and NOEL.  We have a core team of Nationals now who include JOE SCHULD, CHRIS BORCHETTA and JOE CARROL.  We are stronger as a team then we have ever been before. CATEGORY 5 RECORDS was carrying more regionals then most majors. It didn't make sense financially for us to have 6 in the field."
